The course Quantitative Methods for Psychology II concerns the basics of statistical inference:

  • Sample

  • Hypothesis tests
  • Linear Regression and questions of causality

Intended Learning Outcomes and Competencies

The course Quantitative Methods for Psychology II focuses on the basics of inferential statistics. Students will understand the basic principle of how a data sample can be used to draw conclusions about the population from which it was drawn. Based on a probability model, students can formulate hypothesis tests. Students will have a basic understanding of linear regression methods and develop a critical understanding of how and when regression can be used meaningfully.
